Nah; I've never had cable and have grown up perfectly healthy and happy! =)
We only get 1-1/2 stations (one is 1/2 snow, lol), and it never bothers me, since I then have no excuse for watching hours of mindless TV. I do rent a movie to watch every weekend or two, though. Better $10/month on movie rentals than $40/month on advertisements!

hi there I do cause there is a contract with cable and the owners where I live other wise we have no tv it is a must with us. I really would like that nice cool dish but I hear that the weather can damage it it's not bad cable it's just the price going higher and higher . somebody stop them !!!!

Yes because we live on a crowded block so there is no southern exposure for a dish (trees too and the next house is two stories taller than ours) and we don't get public channels out here. I think we can get ABC in black and white with a booster antenna. No cell phone reception either. Sucks.

nope the thing with cable and the dish is you have like a million channels and there is still nothing to watch on television.

Can't get any television channels anymore without it. You can go with a dish, but it is really dependent on location and set up.

can't get any stations any other way, except with a dish - we NEED the financial reports
