The world is full of fools, how could we be surprised to notice them here in answers.yahoo? Or -- do we need to wonder whether or not these people are actually paid plants whose paid job it is to cast doubt upon the truth of global warming so that the corporate overlords responsible for global warming can continue to make enormous profits even though they are killing the world.

Global warming may or may not be a fact. The real problem is blaming humanity for the effects. Since we have had innumerable warm and cold cycles in the history of the earth, it is not at all clear that we have had that effect on our planet just by living here. While would-be industrial countries China and India, the two most populous nations on the earth are excluded from any responsibilities under the Kyoto treaties, your damn right i suspect some chicanery going on. If it is as bad as you say it is, it would seem to me the two nations would be required to go along with everybody else's targets for limiting greenhouse gases. Oh, and by the way. Carbon dioxide is not a pollutant. It is a naturally occurring gas whose levels were higher in the 1800's when record cold temperatures were recorded. There are very valid reasons why determinations on the problem are still subject to more study and, if needed, criticism. Limiting debate on a subject because the answer is a foregone conclusion by some folks is a receipe for disaster.

When global warming is authenticated by scientists who are NOT funded by the global warming crowd including the UN, then perhaps the public will stop trying to get the easily led to use their head!

Most people are not scientists so they are easily duped when a "study" declares "XX" is happening or going to happen.
Add disaster and suffering to the mix (crops will fail, oceans will rise,polar caps will melt etc) and people react emotionally --who wants to live with no food,flooded land, squatters swarming into more hospitible climates...IN our current society-THERE MUST BE A FIX....

The number of people,organizations and industries as well as the politrical schemers (also privately invested in the coming boom) is staggering!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
