It was not any Superbowl game. The game was a regular season game - played Nov 17, 1968 - the NY Jets @ the Oakland Raiders. Both teams were 7-2 going into the game and the game was close throughout. With one minute and 5 seconds left, the Jets were leading by three points (32-29) and NBC cut away from the game to start the movie "Heidi" at a pre-scheduled arrangement and millions of people (myself included) did not get to see the Raiders score 14 points to win 43-32!!! This game has been called one of the 10 greatest moments in pro football history because of this fiasco, but it was not a superbowl. The incident did however change the way football is televised. The AFL & NFL and most other sports leagues forced the networks to change the contracts to insure that games would be shown to their conclusion. One other interesting result was the installation of a telephone in the control room or trailer for games with a direct connection to the network office so this would never happen again - the nickname of this phone - why the "Heidi Phone" of course!

I would take ANY playoff game in the NHL compared to the other choices. I've had the pleasure to attend the last two Leafs playoff wins in person. Sadly those took place way back in 2004. Second round versus Philly at the ACC in Toronto. We all love hockey. The regular season is great...or so we think until the playoffs start. Playoff hockey takes the greatness of this game to a whole different level. The intensity. The hitting. The drama. The hitting. The desperation of the team behind in the series/game. The hitting. The multi-overtime nail-bitters. Oh yeah, and did I mention THE HITTING?!?! For me the NHL playoffs are the only time in sports that I can have no care in the world on which team wins or loses the game and sit there and watch the entire game and be completely entertained.

It was an 1968 AFL game between the Raiders and Jets. The Jets were leading 32-29 with only 65 seconds left in the game, the Raiders quickly scored 14 points to win, 43-32...that the rest is history

None. Raiders and Jets WASN'T cut short either. The END OF THE GAME WASN'T BROADCAST in New York. The switchboards were jammed so they couldn't get through to tell them to keep the game on. In Oakland they actually got to see the entire game.
