I honestly don't think we will ever completely finish our "job" over there. I think that after a little while we will just get it to were it is somewhat decent and then just pull out, because the government will eventually realize that they cannot just go force our american ways of democracy and government on a completely foreign country and and expect them to adapt to it as quickly as they are trying to accomplish this task. The people over in iraq come from a completely different lifestyle and it is ridiculous to think that they are simply gonna change their entire establishmentto like ours is in just a few months or a couple years.

Six years? The war started in 2003... It'll easily take a few (2-4)more years before we can pull out of Iraq. I doubt it will be considered a "win" as it will likely not be stable for years.

If the people in Iraq don`t want Americans in their country it is impossible to declare a won war. There will never be full cooperation , and the blood shed will never stop unfortunately.

They're never going to win the war in Iraq. the way the war is being fought, it's virtually unwinnable...

The way I see it, they got what they wanted. Saddam's dead. Now we should get the heck out, and let the Iraquis settle the whole mess themselves...

The troops have to find the terrorists...they don't stand out in the streets waving big bright signs around that say "HEY!! LOOK AT ME!!! I'M A TERRORIST!!!!" It takes so long because tthey don't come out and fight us, the hide...and we have to find them. So yeah...it's going to take a long time, as for how long? As long as it takes.

They need as long as it takes.

Why must you embolden the enemy by questioning them?
Why can't people like you learn that without your blind allegiance the terrorists have won?
