We are in the Obedience Trial Championship and she always 'misses' about one second before the time is finished. I have tried practising her tricks with her but it doesn't seem to work. Should I tell her to sit or lie down and then wait for as long as possible and then reward her? I usually just reward her when she does the trick straight away. Can someone help me?

Just keep doing what you're doing now. Everytime she does a trick, pet her until the little sparkly things come up. I would repeat that until the little golden bone thingy pops up (make sure you drag that into their mouth!) with every trick.

to have your dog hold its tricks longer is when you practice with your dog and saying the comand try saying it while your dog is doing the trick like when you tell your dog to sit keep saying sit then stop and your dog will. try it over and over!
