hi, i was wondering if im allowed to use pictures from a wholesale website ive brought from without there permission? theres nothing writen on the site to state i cant but is there a certain law, can i get in trouble in any way? kerri x

You probably can't. Anything on the website is property of the website owner, even if there's no specific text below every picture that says that.

People still do it, though. If you're a small player, if this is just for a private blog or something, my guess would be that they'll never know. Even if they do, they'll just send you what's called a "Cease and desist" letter at first, which basically has a lot of legalese that's supposed to look threatening, but basically says, "Stop using our crap."

Copyright law has been made that even though there is nothing stating that you cannot use pictures or other form of anything on a site, it's still copyrighted and you can be sued if the company wants to do so.

If anything, they'll usually just tell you to take it off whatever you are doing.

I'd always ask permission in order to use something.

They are copyright - but most pople don't enforce that - it is fairly easy to stop people taking pics of your website - help yourself to mine - I stole most of them anyway! LOL
