would you please tell me who the shape-shifter in finding nemo is (the shape-shifter is the person or thing that is hard to tell if he is a friend or enemy....the question to ask is is he or she a friend or a foe?)

the shape-shifter could be a friend at one time, but turns into an enemy and then could turn back into a friend....

Could be the dentist, he thinks he's helping Nemo by giving him a home but then gives him to the neice. Saves Gil by putting him back in the water. Thinks he's helping the fish by cleaning the tank. OR the whale, he appears to have eaten Marlin and Dori but is really giving them a ride.

Hmm, I'd totally have said Dori. I just figure that the shape shifter doesn't necessarily have to be friend/enemy, it's more like helpful/hindering. And she definitely puts Marlon behind quite a few times just by being forgetful and acting silly. She's a friend pretty much throughout the whole thing, but she does hold him back quite a bit.
