Its more then just colors that you should be concerned with. material is another big issue. Materials like satins, silks, and even high end suede get easily ruined in the rain and show even the slightest of rain damage. A great textured wool coat (if you have one) not only keeps you warm, but they are available in numerous colors that you can match to yourself. Plus the length is great too, knee to mid-calf keeps you warm, and protects your clothes under it. Bright complimentary colors are good, as long as the color combinations don't clash horridly. Stay away from dark colors, grays, lots of black, etc. When its rainy out its dark and dingy, wearing dark dingy colors on your person will make you look dull. A bright splash of color will brighten things up. Also bright accessories too!! Good luck, hope this helps!

The color isn't as important as the material. Something that the rain drops won't show up so much.

Something bright and thick, but not super-expensive. Try a red mohair off-the-shoulder sweater with a functional black wool mini-jacket over for protection, and some dark-wash skinny jeans with practical shoes. Failing that, something warm. :)

I like bright yellow or hot pink. It just brightens up a dreary day.
