im not sure how to explain this but here it goes:
how do u create a folder in the windows xp programs list i want to organize it and make an empty folder like the one internet exploer is in but empty

Here's the usual way.

Right-click the "Start Button". Click Properties. Click Start Menu Tab. Click Customize.

A new window will pop up similar to "My Documents" and you can create folders to reorganize your program lists.

you right click, click on new
then you either go to new folder or briefcase and that will make a new folder on your desktop which wil be empty. If you want it in the start folder, just drag it in, or right click start and click on customize

- Right-click on the Start button and select properties.
- Click the Customise... button.
- Click the Add... button.
- Click the Advanced... button.

Then add/remove folders from their as you see fit and they'll be reflected in the program list under the Start Menu.
