What is the best way to deal with Idiots?

Just needed some input....
how you normally deal with idiots, brown-noses, politics at the workplace?

I wish I could to what Tony Soprano does...but I cannot...any other idea?

All you people here are wonderful, thank so much for uplifting my spirit with your answers today....

I would just talk to them normally - dont "come to their party" meaning dont lower your standards to even pay attention to their silly stuff, dont ignore them or be rude to them - hopefully your good and wiser influence will rub off onto them. We call brown-noses dibber dobbers in Australia, we say dibber dobbers wear nappies - they need to grow up! Dont say it to their face, its just to let you know. Politics need to be kept out of the work place - change the subject onto something else, idiots - they need help and guidance from wiser people like yourself, educate them.

Idiots show their colors to management. Brown-noses, this depends, if management likes them get on their side or just keep neutral. Politics? Stay out of it! Conflicting interests could cost you a job!

That's the first step. Identify the target. After that, you won't be making excuses for what they do or are. Idiots. A terminal situation. You can just watch it happen, like the rest of us. It's usually best.

I pretend that they don't exist or aren't important. There's little else you can do, otherwise you end up driving yourself crazy for no reason. I used to let that get to me, but I became apathetic as of late. Now, when these so-called idiots start up, I'm like "Phppt" and wave 'em off. Hey, I'm getting paid regardless of what those numbnuts do, so they can eff off for all I care! :-) Cheers!

If by idiots you mean those less intelligent than you, cut them a break. They can't help it. Use smaller words, and thank your lucky stars you're not one of them.

If by idiots you mean jerks, people who are rude or mean, I blame the parents. Less and less people are bothering to raise their kids with manners and self-respect. It's too bad. Kill them with kindness, and set an example of how one should strive to behave.

I start rumors about them behind their back and point out every small thing they do wrong to my boss (in a nice, caring, concerned way "oh, gosh, Larry did you see this *place mistake here*?? I wonder who did that?"). And do everything I can to make them miserable, all while pretending to like them, until they quit. It's a hobby of mine.

the best way to deal with idiots is to tell them to stop voting liberal and listen to some common sense for a change. if that doesnt work out manuever them by showing their ideas to be bunk to the higher ups.

ignore them. Don't feed the bears/trolls. Life is too short to waste your time on people that clearly don't deserve it. It is also too short to have high blood pressure or stress from people who aren't worth the mental exertion you spend by being annoyed or the physical exertion of slapping them.

B) Ignore them and hope they do something idiotic and are forced to leave.
