Bleach won't affect the paint. The canvas will be an ugly greyish color after bleaching. The best solution is to buy a new pair of Converse for when you want to look good, and keep the old pair for when you paint, mow grass, etc.
Sorry.

I tried that and the result was an ugly pale grayish yellowy white with a few spots of colour. Blotchy Mess!
Not worth the bother or cost! I would've been
better off to take them to the thrift store and get
a 2nd hand pair like I wanted!
i suggest You sand away the paint with special sandpaper and patch colour shoes with
fabric paint as close as possible to the original
colour of the shoes! You can get the special Sandpaper for your needs and the fabric paint
at places like The Fabricland!

NO, don't bleach them. They will come out looking a yellow color. Try using some clean for sneakers that looks like white paint but it's not. put the cleaner on the sneakers then start cleaning. It can be found at CVS, Walgreens, Payless etc.
Good Luck

No, they'd probably turn out a grayish-yellow and spotty if you did that.
If you want to turn them all white, I would suggest soaking them in a bleach/water/oxyclean solution to obtain maximum whiteness. And of course you'll have to agitate it a bit to get the chemicals working.
Wear rubber gloves.

Probably won't get a good result. You will more likely end up with a blotchy mess that is more yellow than white.

No, they will turn a yellowish brown color or a redish color. It will depend what kind of dye they used to dye the fabric in the first place.

No, they would just turn yellowish. Sorry. It might be easier to dye them back to black using liquid dye.
