did you install the drivers for it first. If the Player came with a CD there will be two things on it Software for whatever purpose the company designed, and there will be a package for the player ( should be a Read Me file along with it ) try installing the drivers for the player.

i had that same problem....u either have to use a different computer, or maybe u will have 2 rebuild the computer....if it isnt reconized then that means u will have other trouble, so rebuliding will be the best thing to do.....u can try buying another one, i dont kno if it will work, plus once u open it, u cant return it, so i recommend rebuliding....hope this helps! :)

well try to connect it directly to your PC without using the cable if you can , if that don't work , it should has a CD to install its driver
