I had a Laura Mercier Makeup Artist do it on me that way once... and it was the most beautifully subtle eyeliner experience I've ever had (my eyeliner experiences are always disastrous). Anyway, I was wondering if anyone does this on a regular basis? Would it be "safe" hygiene wise?

to "Linda": well, to be honest, I never considered the lower waterline application very hygienic either. =) (also according to what I've read, it isn't.) Though I do wonder if liquid liner would be better than say a pencil, since the liquid goes on smoother, "cleaner," easier...

sad to say it is not hygiene wise. even though i do, do it but not everyday. i say you can do it about 2 times a week and you'll be a-ok!(i do and its fine ive been doing for about 3years like that)

No I don't apply liquid liners there... I do use pencils all the time, but I use pencils that are completely natural and don't cause any troubles. Oh I don't do it on myself I'm a guy... I'm a make-up artist so you don't understand me wrong :)))

And I believe you that it was beautiful experience for you... Most of the girls are very happy when they see their eyes that way...

Yeah why should it be different from the lower waterline? I love to do it whenever I go out and don't want to wear a full face!
