Your best option for a short term let would be to find an owner/occupier looking for a lodger or an established house share which has had someone move out.

The best place to find these in London is Loot, other local papers, even your local shop or online communities of which there are thousands.

Its very difficult, because most rental tenancies are six to twelve months signed contract.
Perhaps think about renting a room which can be on a month to month basis. Search property agencies for full listing of flat shares. Good luck.

Definitely look on the gumtree. www.gumtree.com. There is a section for short term accomodation. They are often for people that are going away travelling for a few months and want to let their room out. The hospital should offer accomodation as well.

I know Foxtons do short term lets- although this is quite expensive in comparison to a regular long term renting.

I went to Imperial and rented a room (double room in a shared flat) and it became into £one hundred ten each week different than for all expenditures, that became into 2 years in the past in Earls courtroom (couple of tube stops removed from campus). That became into very real searching for someplace somewhat friendly. i'm no longer conversing posh condominium, i'm conversing no bugs/rats, no longer in a basement, no longer too noisy, real looking sized rooms, functioning furnishings & washer. you will get extra cost-effective flatshares in case you decrease your standards or in case you share with extra people, or in case you share a room, or in case you trip in from zones 3-6 (that's what a lot of folk finally end up doing). in case you're waiting to trip then you definately may be waiting to attend to to pay on your very own place, yet lower back it relies upon how fussy you're with reference to the section and regardless of in case you have an significant different to share the lease with. people who trip tend to have a lot nicer places and picture the trip is worth it, people who stay proper have not so superb places and no funds yet think of it relatively is worth it to have the full of London on their doorstep. My suggestion: beg and plead to stay in halls and stay there as long as you may - labored for me - that became into approximately £eighty for an ensuite room.
