It's hard to explain humour. I can't specify why i find some things funny and some not. I don't think many people can. There are just some things I laugh at and some i don't.
A lot of the attraction of Little Britain is that it's easily relatable as many of the characters are just exagerated (and sometimes not so exagerated) versions of people you see everyday.
But a lot of it is just funny, just because. I don't like all the sketches, but i like a majority.
I do think it's quite a hard thing to translate and explain, humour wise (although this can be said of most humour). I don't think many people who aren't British will like it, and I also think if you don't like it or find it funny then you don't and never will. No amount of explaining will help.
Think of something you find funny and try and explain it, it really isn't the easiest thing. We all have different senses of humour and sometimes they match and sometimes they don't.

I'm not sure it is funny - but it certanly has funny aspects. Certain caracters like Lou and Andy, Vicky Pollard and the fat fighters chick raise a smile on my face but none of the others. Sometimes the Welsh gay dude can be funny but I dont go out my way to watch the show

I don't know, it was funny when it was first shown but by the time it got to the third series then it just wasn't funny.I did like the spin off little Britain abroad though.

I find Little Britain like the curates egg...good in parts.
I like Lou and Andy and the shop sketches, but I don't think the show is a patch on the Catherine Tate Show...Now that is really funny!
How can this be a bad answer?...it is just my opinion??
So do we get these thumb things if people just don't agree with us???

It's to do with the irony of Lou not knowing that Andy is able-bodied. A thing is never funny once it's been explained.

Its not really funny like slapstick (like Jim Carrey court room scene in Liar,Liar). Sometomes it can be very crude. I only like Vicky Pollard cause of the way she speaks.

Because they're taking the p**s out of real life stereotypes, ie: Vicky Pollard... and this type is just laughable
