After i had terminated my job contract, i was sent to "garden leave" during my month notice period. I did not get salary for that and they say it was a mistake of their 3-rd party accounting office and that i will get paid next month.

well employer apologize but say they cant pay me now as this accounting office can do that only next month - i dont believe that as it sounds stupid and seems an excuse to delay the payment. can i do anything ?

Keep ringing them until they are fed up..You can always contact the job centre/Acas and take them to a tribunal. This takes time so fill in the form and send off to Acas. They will send a letter with a date on it to your employer. This should work!

by law (at least in California) your employer has to pay you your last check within 48 hours of your last day worked. They are just giving you the run around. Even a 3rd party accounting company can cut you a manuel check (not in their normal pay cycle)

they by law i belive have to pay you within "a reasonable" time this is deamed as five to seven days. the problem is that it would probably take till you next pay date to get anything done or longer but if they dont pay up by then go to c.a.b. and they will help you do every thing they can .incl send you to a solictor for free and get you to small claims court

No, most definately not. I would at least speak to a lawyer or some other consultant regarding it. Make sure you have a copy of your companies polices and procedures.

You need to go to their house with a baseball bat and tell them to pay you double what they owe you plus interest or they will have problems.

I think that they should pay you for the time you didn't get it. You might have a case
