Some men act that way because they are afraid if they don't then they don't have power over the situation and therefore are less a man which isn't really true. Women can be the same way.

I would love to know the answer to that one. Well, they don't otherwise, they would be in touch with emotions.
I have a father who never bothered to grow up emotionally and is 73. I know that he didn't grow. I, at age 38, am a lot emotionally mature then he ever was or will be.
When you have kids, you're suppose to get yourself together as oppose to spill the poisen that your parents inflicted upon you unto you kids. My father is like "Cat in the Caddle" as oppose to "A Song For Mama".

How come all women think all men think they know everything?
I don't. I don't claim to. Nor will I ever.
I do however know a pretty good bit. More than the average person I'd say, but that definately doesn't mean I know everything.

Because our mothers say we have to know everything in order to be good husbands. The same mothers turn around and tell the daughters to know everything so they don't have to count on men.

I really do not know why this is... However not all men think this as my husband dont think this way at all and there are also some women who think they know everything too.

Well, I sure hope to God they do not "all" think this way.
I know my husband is very very patronizing, and it sucks the big one. I can't STAND it anymore!! But due to family and finances I must stay in the marriage awhile longer, but it just may all work out eventually. So I ain't givin up.
I hope all men don't think that way though. anyone who is this way is very condescending
