My doc put me on Metformin, Medroxyprogesterene, and Clomiphene Citrate. to try to make me have normal periods as well as concieve. I was just wondering if there is anyone out there that has similar problems and how long it generally takes for the Clomid to start working.

Metformin is intended to make your ovaries more sensitive to insulin.
Insulin is important in ovulation.( It is usually given continuously.)
Clomiphene Citrate is an anti-estrogen that blocks the hypothalamus (part of the brain controlling the pituitary) from sensing the rising estrogen level before ovulation, making the hypothalamus send a bigger signal to the pituitary so it in turn sends a bigger signal to your ovaries to ovulate. I(it is usually given for a few days in the early cycle.)
Medroxyprogesterone is a progestin that used to be given to supplement the progesterone that the ovary produces after ovulation. (It is usually given after ovulation.)
It can take several cycles to reach the proper dose to trigger ovulation.
These are the things that YOUR doctor should have discussed with you.
