You can't really. All the bands anyone else mentions were influenced by the Beatles. The Beatles' influence is kind of like a common ancestor to music. You might could make arguments involving their earliest work, but that is because they wrote what the public wanted; it was pop and to formula. Once they finished touring, they could write songs with meaning and in their own style. Just look at the range of listeners they could reach. They've gone from "Yellow Submarine," "The Long and Winding Road," "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" to way-out-there with "Helter Skelter," "I Am the Walrus" to classics such as "Hey Jude" and "Let It Be." While their style may not suit everyone, their influence led to bands in the future that were considered great. They've even influenced modern bands in different genres, such as Outkast. It was no fluke either, they all had successful solo careers beyond the Beatles. No other group could have the same success or remained immensely popular after their band dissolved.

Can anyone make a reasonable disput that there is a better artist than the Beatles? Yes.

Can anyone make a reasonable dispute that there has been a more influential artist than the Beatles? No.

And to the person that thinks that T.I. is better than the Beatles - T.I. sucks compared to any good rapper (Run DMC, Beastie Boys, LL Cool J, Eric B and Rakim, NWA, Public Enemy, Naughty by Nature, Dr. Dre, Snoop, Fugees, Biggie, Tupac, Wu Tang, Jay-Z, Outkast, Eminem, Fiddy, etc.), let alone the Beatles.

Nope. The fact that this question is even posited says something in itself. Why is every other musical artist from any other genre always being compared to the Beatles? Because they (so far) are the standard of musical composition and success.
Led Zeppelin and the Rolling Stones are not to be discounted, though. Their influence is measurable, though. The Beatles influence is not.
From wikipedia:
"The Beatles were the best-selling musical band of the 20th century. In the United Kingdom, they released more than 40 different singles, albums, and EPs that reached number one. This commercial success was repeated in many other countries: their record company, EMI, estimated that by 1985 they had sold over one billion discs or tapes worldwide. The Recording Industry Association of America certified The Beatles as the top-selling band of all time in America based on U.S. sales of singles and albums."

Better can mean different things. What's better to my ear my not be worth a darn to someone else's ear. Also, technically and musicianship-wise, there are better artists. Think of the highly skilled jazz artists or rock and other types of guitarists or who are totally awesome. That being said, I still like the Beatles the best.

Opinions are like A55holes, everybody's got one. But the Reality is that the Beatles will go down in history as the most influential music makers of all time. They will be right up their with the masters like Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, etc. There was a time when music was melodious, the tunes were sung and not spit out and thrown up, and that being in love was pure innocence. No more, thanks to the crappers, oops I means rappers.

I don't think anyone could get better than the Beatles. They weren't all about drugs, violence, and sex. Many bands get really close to being the all time best, but the Beatles will still always remain the greatest.

No, I don't think so. The Beatles were one of the most inflencial bands ever and I think they were the best artist of all time. The only one I think you could even compare is Led Zepplin. Led Zepplin was another extremely influencial band that had some of the greatest rock songs ever made. VH1 even named them the #1 metal artist of all time......... they were in a list of 100 artists!

Oasis was actually voted last year in the UK, where the Beattles are from, as being the best band ever. I am not sure if I would agree, but I do consider their music to be very very good.

People can make all kinds of claims against the Fab 4, but the fact is- without them, many MANY rock bands, past & present would be nowhere.

People who deny their influence make me laugh...
