I'm reading some responses that warrant such a question. Why can't they finally just give the Colts the respect they deserve? They proved they are the Best NFL team in 2007 by becoming the SuperBowl Champs. Some people are saying it was luck. Did they even watch the game? Rex is a lousy QB and it was proven. Just face it...The Colts wanted it more and we are the better team. Our rings prove it! See you there next year!

By saying OUR ring I was using the words the Colts organization spoke to the fans at the RCA Dome on 02/05/07. THIS ONE IS FOR THE NFL's GREATEST FANS....COLTS FANS!

Alot of answers are saying "if your team would have lost you would be a sore loser". I beg to differ. If my team played like crap yes I would be ticked. However, I would still give credit where credit is due. I still feel our defeat from the Steelers in 2006. Yes I was upset, however if you look at any of my posts, you will notice that I didn't say luck was the reason. I said Pittsburgh played better football. Just like Indy did against Chicago. Bottom line is ....IT"S A GAME!
I am glad to see a few fans still have dignity.

I'm a die hard Bears fan. But as much as I hated to see my team lose - I was glad to see the Colts be the Superbowl Champs.
There was no luck -- and it had nothing to do with the weather.
I don't even blame Rex (he had a passer rating of 107 in the first half (not bad).
The reason why --- the Colts just plain out played the Bears. They dominated the line of scrimmage - were able to run the ball -- and their defense proved to be the better one on Sunday.
No whining here. Colts were the better team - and deserved the win.
I would love to see them both again next year.

Don't know who you spoke to but Chicago fans are anything but sore losers. Remember we have the Cubs:) We are eternal optimists. Rex is not a lousy QB - must I remind everyone that this year was his FIRST full year in the NFL - and where did he end up, the biggest game ever. Give the guy some slack will all of you. The Bears lost as a team just as the Colts won as a team. Manning finally got a team that took him to the Superbowl - it only took him nine years. Don't be such a hater - Chicagoans aren't. Can't wait to see that ring you have - do all Colt fans get the ring too?

So what position did you play? You must have done something to get your ring. N e way. The colts played good and the Bears fell apart. I know it sucks and I understand where they are coming from. I wanted the Bears to win. Every good fan gets mad when there team loses. My husband wouldnt even talk to me the night the Chargers lost to the Patriots. I was pissed. And my husband was the same way Sunday night because he is a Bears fan. You cant tell me that you would have been a cheerful loser if the Bears had come back and actually won? You would have said its all luck and the same thing the bears fans are saying now. If you are a true football fan (or sport fan in general) you have a lot of emotions during games and sometimes you just need to vent. So give the Bears fans some time to vent. Now if in a couple of weeks they are still complaining, well then you can say they are being sore losers.

Being a Bears fan I would like to say this for Chicago... The Colts beat us fair and square it wasn't rigged. You're right you proved Indiana had the best football team this year. Maybe the Bears got cocky. I would have like to seen the Bears win being from Chicago just like the others but I'm happy for the Colts. Your rings prove it and if Griese starts a bit next year we may be able to match it with a XLII ring but until then you guys' team is the best and it wasn't luck. There's a good football team to our east and you did prove it. Good job Colts and Bears for making it to Miami in the first place you really gave our states a show this year

are you kidding me ? Bears fans have been graceful losers compared to Seahawk fans. Seahawk fans are STILL crying over last years Super Bowl and how the ONLY reason Pittsburgh won was because the zebras gave it to them. WHA, WHA and WHA. you ever want a good laugh. just tell a Seahawk fan that the Steelers kicked the Seahawks heads in in the Super Bowl.
ps - i dont buy your explanation of the use of OUR rings. unless you are employed by the Colts, its not OUR rings. its the Colts' rings, clarify that next time and spare yourself from the English lessons from smartasses like myself ;-)
Re: Texasgirl .......... the northerners show bad sportsmanship ??????? you do realize that Miami would be considered being on the southern end of the US .... right? the Miami Hurricanes have single handedly had 3 rules added to the rule books in college football to curtail UNSPORTSMANLIKE conduct. excessive endzone celebrations, taking off the helmet on the playing field and taunting ..... ALL new rules aimed at calming down the Hurricanes ..... which happen to play in the south. what about Mack Brown ? crying in 2004 that Cal was going to get the last BCS spot, so much so that he sent out over 500 letters to media outlets outlining why Texas should get into the BCS instead of Cal. his actions disgusted the AP so much that they pulled out of the BCS. was THAT good sportsmanship ??????? i do believe Austin is in the southern part of the US as well. so get a clue little girl before you state your claims, and stop repeating your boyfriends opinions ..... because he doesnt have a clue either.

I am a big Bears fan... The Colts deserved it but they werent the best team in the regular season. That title belongs to the Chargers. It wasn't luck. The Colts deserve it and Rex SUCKS!. Well be back next year to win it.
Oh and to the lady who says the Cubs will beat Indiana, Indiana doesn't have a baseball team.

Whoa, wait just one minute here!
I have not met ONE Bears fan that is a sore loser. We are taking it all in stride, just as we would expect you Colts fans to do also if it was reversed (which it could've easily been, might I add). The Bears just obviously had a bad day, just like any other football game. Winning a football game is just luck, by the way. Super Bowl or not. And remember: DA BEARS had a hel! of a season and you Colts fans just need to RESPECT THAT!!!!

These post are proving the asker's point. Someone said the defense did their job and the Colts offense only managed field goals. So what? That's only have the game. The truth is the NFC sucks and any team in it should be ashamed(including my Eagles) for letting the Bears even get to Miami. Congrats Colts. I was rooting for you. Finally we can stop hearing "Peyton Manning is one of the top QBs in the game but..." He's the best today.(Period)

Definately wasn't luck. It was Rex. If it was any other QB in the league, it probably would have been a Bears win. He was pathetic.
