Absolutely! Does anybody actually care? It's all the same anyway as long as he includes the word "Surrender!" in his platform.

It is too early too tell, but judging from the beginning of the campaign, yes.

The Socialist candidate, Segolene Royal, will present the first points of her program on February 11; she is however at a disadvantage as Sarkozy had quite a bit of extra time to present and explain his program while Royal was in her "period of reflexion". This lack of program to discuss led to a discussion vacuum that was filled by the media with more personal attacks on both Royal and Sarkozy.

Once Royal presents her program, hopefully the discussion will focus on politics, not personal attacks. At the moment, polls show that Royal's popularity is in a freefall... that may change soon.

However, and in addition, because of Sarkozy's presentation skills and PR-savvy team, I would say that I think he will be the next president of France.

Not being French, I hesitate to make such a sweeping prediction. But Sarko seems fairly popular, and I like some of his quotes. Other quotes seem a bit rude. But I say that as an American southerner :-) Bon chance!
