Verizon's DSL comes on automatically, just change your start page to Yahoo.com. That's all it is really there is no such thing as Yahoo DSL.. It's DSL provided by Verizon and Yahoo is simply your start up page. They make it sound better then it really is.

Verizon DSL is merely your connection to the Internet. Yahoo is a content provider. Unless I misunderstand your question, you are trying to combine two unrelated things. Now if you are asking how to combine your email from Verizon with your Yahoo email, you could see if either has a forwarding option to send the emails to the other address. I generally look at changing the email addresses as an opportunity to reduce the SPAM for a bit and provide the new address to my friends and relatives. I believe Verizon has their own portal page so if you are looking to combine the two sites, that could take a good bit of effort on your part. There could be sites out there that allow "URL scraping" but I haven't seen a need so I haven't researched it (only reason I mention it is some intranet development that I did where I had to merge web page content in the past and the quick and dirty solution was using IFrame tags in the source pages).

It should be automatic.
I run a connection at home on wireless router, at my GF's on another wireless router, and a wireless cell (verizon) when I am out and about, and yahoo works with them all. No configuration required.
Try turning it off by right clicking the yahoo icon beside of your clock (system tray) and restart it. I have had to do that from time to time.
You might have to port forward, but I have never ran into that for yahoo.
Port 1080 for yahoo, unless you have it customized.
