So, what do you think? And what would you call that type of purse?? Please and thank you. (I have been thinking about buying it for 2 years now!)

I think if you've been looking at it for this long you should definitely treat yourself and it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks!

Unfortunately the site is down right now so I can't get a look :( but my advice still stands.

Enjoy it!

This kind of bags were born in France, after french revolution.
It is very beautiful and was used as vintage bag.
My dear if you like it, buy and enjoy it at night with a very matching shoes and dress.
I have all kind of purses and bags, never get tiered or have regret for buying them.
And if you want more info about the handbags, go to this site http://www.workmanpublishing.com/catalog/showtoc.cgi?0761123776 or a book store and buy this book

I don't know about type, but I am the type of person who doesn't like to change my purse often and that is a very specific style-- meaning chances are it would not "go" with much in the closet.... $30 is not much though, so for a fun, "going-out-on-the-town" purse, I think it is nice. But it is definitely not a "take to the grocery store" kind of purse.

Those are called 'frame' bags, because of the metal frame at the top. I like this one, it's got a nice vintage feel to it, but the pleated material is also quite a modern look. There are a lot of frame bags around at the moment, so you could probably find one in any colour you wanted - I recently bought a zebra print one.

In my experience, if you've been wanting something for that long, you wont regret buying it. :)

It's pretty, but it looks like it's from the 50's or 60's era. You would probally only be able to wear to formal events.
