Hemoglobin varies extensively between species, and often comparisons of hemoblobin is used to measure the closeness of species. the blood types are caused by carbohydrates on red blood cells, and each species has its own alleles for these genes.

Animal blood is different from human blood, but where human blood groups are different from each other, I have heard that dog's blood doesn't have groupings and can be transfused into any other dog.

And of course all species have specific blood to their species
