Approximatley 5 hours ago I had a wart removed by my doctor. He froze the wart that was on the inside of my toe. I have a high tolerance for pain however this was and still is causing me excruciating pain.

The toe is very sensitive and feels as though there is a knife stuck in it. I realize there are an abundance of nerve endings in the toe, which is why this hurts so bad. However is it normal to still be in this much pain hours after the freezing of the wart? And if so, what can I do to reduce the pain? I have taken over the counter pain killers throughout the day. Thanks so much

It is completely normal. I had a wart frozen and cut off about ayear ago. The doctor asked me if I wanted pain pills, and I figured "how much could it hurt?" Then I found out. I called the office back, and she called in a prescription to my pharmacy for me. Your doc should be willing to do the same, just tell them that the over the counter stuff is not helping.

I had a wart removed on my wedding finger and it does leave a scar. Do you feel like putting it in pail/plastic water with Epsom saltas that is what I'm recommending? 1st take a glass of hot water 3 tablespoons of epsen salt, stir till dissolved, pour into ice cold bucket of water, add ice cubes if you can. I want you to freeze your toe and put you out of misery. This will work, if you can stand it. Not r whole foot but as much as u can.
Best of Luck
