Need Anime for: Inspiration ideas for creating characters, as I draw anime and likes designing characters and such--all over the place. : B
Getting settled with Naruto right now, nice and balanced without gaging over it and going nuts whatsovever. When reading anime, it's about in depth plot, character developement, story overall structure, and most importantly, the protagonist's struggle to achieve his goal or dreams.
Comedy? Definitely. It'll brighten up the whole day and make it happy and refreshed with the crazy ideas---as a little girl, I used to roll on the floors watching Nintama Rantarou, seeing the three ninja students discussing comical strategies with their teachers, doi sensei and Yamada sensei! ^__^
Cute guys? Well, as in the case of Naruto, it would be Umino Iruka, and occasionally Hatake Kakashi. Iruka's personality developement in the first book of Naruto is very interesting, and his sincere, open, and deep feelings.
# You can read my 360 degree blog write up about Iruka.
Not just any good looking man would grab attention! Otherwise that is pretty shallow, like in the manga "Red River"....everyone and everything is too good looking, and it is unrealistic! secondly, Red River borders on too much of its 'steamy' substances to get to the next episode, so I would not read that, if you have no great ideas, using that kind of thing to continue a story is not going to hold attention for long!
Characters should focuse not just their appearance, but character developement is most important.
Plus, I hate Hentai, excessive violence, and gross sexuality. Had picked up a random manga for sampling and had to drop it because of the intense content on those unclean things. Excessive portrayal of demonism and ghosts (hate those), it'll give my nightmares, and the way they draw those hentai posters of Kusanagi Motoko (草鸡琴子) from Ghost in the Shell.
Urghhhhh! Just will not tolerate art plus chaos and hentai!!

If you have one what is the name of your favorite non-Japanese anime artist: (American, Chinese, Korean, ect.)
1. Masashi Kishomoto (岸本雅志) of Naruto
2. Rumiko Takahashi (高桥留美子) of Ranma
3. Scott Adams (Dilbert)
4. (和月申宏) who draws Rurouni Kenshin
5. Yuzo Takeda (高田裕二) I no longer read his comic, but would like to mention that his drawing style of human bodies is fluid, ideal, charming and beautiful.
6. The artist of Crayon Shinchan!! So adorable!!! Squeeze those cheeks!!
7. The artists who draw Chibi Maruko chan
8. The artist who draw Nintama Rantarou (忍者乱太郎), I watched this ever since I was like 5, and first favorite anime character ever-----Doi Hansuke sensei!! (土井板助)
9. Hayao Miyazaki (宫藤俊). Natural, and has lots of beaufitul graphics of trees, animals, birds, and the landscape of Japan's beautiful natural environment.

5. Tall and has straight or slightly wavy hair.
6. Not trying to be someone else- realistic.
7. Independent and not reliant on other people.
8. Doesn't have to be a good person, but has to have a purpose in their life.

What about Anime I don't like:
All the anthro animals are just humans with animal ears, its cute, but I want to see shows with anthro because that what I enjoyed about animation.
Too mainstream, I kinda hate how when a regular anime show comes out and then becomes mainstream. Even though I thought Naurto and Full-Metal-Alchemist were cool.
What you look for when looking for a new anime: Good story line and interesting art style. If possible even a furry theme too. Anime characters are okay but anthro characters are more interesting.
What is the name of your favorite Japanese anime artist: This probably wouldn't count but I like the Clamp team. Interesting art style.
Name of favorite Non-Japanese artist: She's not a an anime artist but I like Terrie Smith and yes Xian Jaguar.

What you look for when looking for a new anime.
I look for when searching out a new anime, is a good Comedy/Drama balance, that can be place in any setting. ie Honey and Clover, Eureka Seven, Trigun etc.
What is the name of your favorite Japanese anime artist:
There really isn't a specific artist I like as I pay more attention to how the story plays out. This way I won't have a visual basis.
If you have one what is the name of your favorite non-Japanese anime artist:
Same as listed above.
your welcome

I love anime, lets see:
Age: 26
Gender: Male
What you look for when looking for a new anime: I always look for a good plot, whether a romantic story, a drama, a comedy, action, whatever... I don't really care about genres. I like them all, as long as the plot is fun.
What is the name of your favorite Japanese anime artist: Hayao Miyazaki. The graphic style is really simple, very minimalist playing with single lines, but the animation techniques are flawless. The characters show a very rich body language and they feel almost "Human".
well, thats all I guess. Hope that helps :)

Yes, Definitely! ^.^
Age: ...15
Gender: Female
What I look for:
I look at the art (see if it attracts me, if I find it "good" in my own sense), the storyline (don't want a re-make of the same storyline I've just seen), presentation/introduction: how the artist brings things in (if they throw everything at once, or if they carefully explain it as the story goes along), and...I know I'm forgetting something, but I can't think of it.....anyways, and sometimes if I can't decide, I'll watch the first one or two eps and decide from there. (Otherwise, I just ask my friends if they'd recommend it, or I look up reviews)
Japanese anime artist:
Miyazaki Hayao, Kubo Tite, Hatori Bisco, Watase Yuu, and Obata Takeshi. All their art is beautiful, smooth, and creative/cute :)
I hope this helps
