Apple is aware of a problem with itunes and Windows Vista and will shortly make a new version available to deal with it.
They have a temp fix until release.

you will possibly no longer prefer to get Vista in basic terms yet. in spite of the incontrovertible fact that, in case you do it relies upon on which XP you have. in case you have homestead version you may uprgrade to Vista issue-unfastened, top rate, or in basic terms the superb option. in case you have the expert version you may upgreade to the corporation or in basic terms the superb option variations ov Vista. whatever, make specific that your workstation has a minimum of 512 RAM (ideally 1024 or extra) and an 800 Ghz processor at minimum. no longer something under this might artwork. There are different standards, so look on the containers in the previous you establish.

I saw an article yesterday, where Apple was telling its customers,
to maybe put that new Vista PC purchase on hold till they work
the problem out.
I,m sure it will get fixed shortly.
