I wouldn't do that... Why aren't you screwing the pan back into place?

MIG welders use electricity to weld.... the point of weld will be very hot.... transmission fluid is nothing but oil and oil isnt that flamable, but mig welding will ignite a flame to the fluid. Take the pan off and lay it on a bench and weld it that way.

It is unsafe to weld this on the car.It is better to replace the gasket and the pan and torque to specs.

Wouldn't it be cheaper,easier and faster to just buy a good used one from a wrecking(breaker) yard?

your looking for a lot of trouble if you do that
you could wreck your vehicle
take if off and do it the right way

ATF.......... 400 degrees flash point............
sure that aught to work
