I suggest playing on free for a few months, doing most of the free quests, getting a good feel for the game, and after wards, if you decide if it's fun and worth it, go for membership. That's what I did and i have never regretted it, and I never will.

Sorry, but it may be possible, it will most likely be a scam or a virus. It is impossible to get free membership on Runescape. If you have money, just enough for a membership, why use it for becoming a member? When you get more money, then buy a membership. Again, I'm sorry about it being impossible to become a member for free, but only JAGEX can control that. They make some funny rules...

$5 is definitely worth it! Trust me, I've been a member for about a year now and it's great. You can work on more skills, buy more superior armor and even do better quests. Also, you can't even compare the weapons in the free and member worlds. The best weapon in free worlds is a Rune Scimmy and in members worlds you have whips, dragon swords, granite hammers etc. Membership is awesome and you'll never want to log out.

The membership is worth the five dollars a month. More quest, more monsters, a larger playing area (About three times as large as what's available in the free version), more servers to play on, more mining areas (Rarely overcrowded), and member skills can be built up.

When I was just about to quit runescape, i decided to give members a spin. To me, the month I had it wasn't nearly enough. There is sooo much more stuff to do. It really made the game a lot more interesting. My suggestion is to get to a high level, around 50 ish, and have a lot of skill levels, and a lot of cash, peferably around a mil.

The free stuff has too little to be considered decent and the membership is overpriced. Play something decent like silkroadonline. Runescape is for noobs.

My kids have had membership, then not, and they are begging for it again. When they come home tonight, I will have them answer here and tell you the real advantages to membership. (I will say they still enjoy playing even without the membership)

i like to play without member ship but becoming a member is awesome you get minigames about 100 more awesome long confusing quests lots of other things and by the way if u live in canada its like 7$

I am a subscriber and I find the benefits naff but I have not played it in a while.
