Why are women and minorities incapable of laughing at themselves. (not all women but most the ones on Yahoo Answers)

You're black - it's funny!
You're fat - It's funny!
You're ugly - It's funny!
You're muslum - It's funny!

You going to go the rest of your lives pretending the world doesn't stereotype or are you going to live in reality?

Stereotypes are pretty lame.
Reality is actually that every single person is different, regardless of your opinion, stereotypes, and whatever your view of "reality" might be. People can laugh at themselves no problem, if the thing they're laughing about is actually funny. Is being black, fat, ugly, or muslim funny? Uh, no. It's not. You can make fun of yourself for it, and then it might be funny, but if someone else walks up and is like LOL YOU'RE BLACK THAT'S SO FUNNY, that's really more offensive, and a common thing that a white attractive and thin male would probably do if he were a complete prick, haha.

One thing is having a personality but the other is just being plain rude... So we are able to share with others what we feel on Yahoo answers but I personally think you over do it. Next time do a bit more research on your theories. I do live in a very stereotypical world the thing is I am more informed and not so ignorant about those subjects....

It's just rude.....reality shouldn't be as cruel as we make it out to be....not everyone is stereotypical.......the color black isn't funny...it implies many things....ever notice that when a white person wears black clothing too much, they're emo or goth?....but when a black person does, it's expected.....and being ugly or fat isn't funny....i think you're just shallow.....people focus too much on the the outer shell of people...there IS a person inside that body you know.

Apparently, you don't watch too many Black comedians because you'd know that WE are always the first ones to poke fun at ourselves whether its about Black church services, Black funerals, Black weddings, Blacks in the workplace, Blacks on welfare and so on. It becomes not funny when the n-word starts getting tossed around. And there are White jokes out there that are hilarious as well. Please, don't get me started on them.
