Smile and brush a light, pretty shade gently over the raised part of the cheek, blending well. Start with a little and add more until you reach the desired intensity. For light skin stick with pale pinks, apricots, peaches, and pinky-peaches. Blush shades should be darker and richer the deeper your skin tone is. You can also try bronzer for a sun-kissed look, applying only on places the sun would naturally hit instead of all over the entire face.

First, put on your concealer and powder. Then pick a blush-color that goes with your your skin tone. Always apply a light, even layer from the outside of your face to the inside of your face. Suck your cheeks in so that you can see your cheek-bone and fill it in.

Cover Girl says:
Anyone can wear blush. For a rosy glow that lasts, choose a simple shade like Classic Color Natural Glow.

Swirl the brush around in the color and then tap it to knock off the excess.

Sweep the blush across your cheeks twice and set it by gently pressing with a puff of translucent powder like CG Smoothers.

First choose the color using nature as your guide. According to InStyle, the trick is to find a color that matches your cheeks when they're flushed after exercise or being out in the cold. For a quick test, spank your cheeks & use the resulting color as a guide. Another trick is to match your lip color. Fair skin looks great in rose, olive in peach & dark skin in apricot or even red.

Make sure your skin is moisturized!

Throw out the freebie 'Barbie-size' blush brush that comes with the blush. Use a professional full brush instead (I like MAC's blush brush No. 116), but don't use the same brush you use for your powder.

Look into the mirror and smile, (This helps you figure out where the 'apple' of your cheek is.) apply it to the apple.

get a peachy bright blush. it won't actually show up as bright as you would think. it's nice for it to have a little shimmer in it too. oh yeah and i wouldn't recommend using the brush that comes with the blush. it's too small and it just doesn't apply right.

OK so on to the question, first blow on the brush after you swish it on your blush pallet so you don't get a big blob on your face, then smile and lightly brush it over the apples of your cheeks. apply with caution so you don't look like you're burning up. good luck, you'll get the hang of it if you don't at first.

The best way I know is to look at yourself after you've worked out or jogged or ran or something. Your cheeks will be red or pink. You need to pay attention to where the color is when this happens and apply your blush there. Make sense? That's the best make up tip I ever got and it works beautifully!! Good luck.

Use a large brush and apply a light shade (depends on your complexion) onto the apples of your cheeks and up to your temples. This will accentuate the higher ridge of your cheek bones. Use a darker shade underneath to complete the look. Apply lightly. You are dusting your face with color. The darker shade should hardly be noticeable. If you do it right, no one would be able to tell you have make up on. They'll see your radiant face.

I use a large makeup brush to apply powder blush to the apples of my cheeks. then I put some on my cheekbones to make them appear more defined.
