It wasnt all his fault the bears lost, yea he made a few key mistakes but keep in mind that he is still a young QB and in his first full season as starting QB took the bears to the SuperBowl. He is a very inconsistent QB right now because he has had a few games where he looked great then the next game he looks like crap. But now that hes had that experiece in playing in the big game he going to be more consistent and confident in himself. By next year there is going to be alot more of great games than his bad ones.

I am sick of all the people who want to throw in the towel for their quarterbacks this year. Why coaches listen to the media on this subject is absurd to me. Romo was in my opinion the only successful replacement and he blew it at the end of the year and in the playoffs. So even he is just somewhat of a success story. Rex Grossman has finally completed his first full season and he got the Bears where? To the Super Bowl. Granted the defense is what did most of the work, but if the Bears continue to play stout defense, all Grossman has to do is learn to make fewer mistakes and check off his receivers better. As a 'rookie', since that is basically what he was last year, he did what most rookies do: started off well, the league figured him out in the middle, and he made adjustments and did fair at the end. If you compare his statistics to one of the all time greats, Bret Favre this season, they were very similar. And people said Favre had a pretty good year. With a decent year under his belt, look for him to improve next year and make another playoff run, possibly to Super Bowl glory.

He will not be a great QB unless he makes some major changes. But if he makes those changes he could be great.

I never quite stood behind him as a quarterback. I was really not a happy camper with him for much of the season actually.
