A gene that causes a trait that is located on either the X or Y chromosomes and affects nearly one gender exclusively. Colour blindness sufferers are nealy all male, and baldness is typically a male trait as well. These are the most common, but there are many other traits that are linked to gender.

as you might now noomally every human has 46 chromosomes, each one of them holds responsability for different traits , like sex, height, hair color , skin color, e.t.c.
there is a chromosome responsible for the sex,
in the case of males there are few traits linked to it.
for example, there are diseases more common in men than in women and viceversa.
illnesess like hemophylia are sex linked trait , since males are the only ones who do suffer it.

I have no idea what a sex-linked trait is! Even though i should but i do know an example.
The example is a Hitchhiker's thumb
When you have a hitchhiker's thumb your thumb has to extend back more than 30 degree's to 45 degree's
