It's a Kenmore Heavy Duty older model. I'm guessing fuse or timer but do not know how to even check, I've only had experience repairing dryers mostly for burnt wires! The machine opens at the top and I see wires leading to what I believe is the timer but I do not see any fuses anywhere, I haven't removed the back panel as I think that leads only to the tub? I had no problems before it totally stopped full of water. I had to manually drain using a container! I checked to be sure plug outlet was working and it was fine. Please help, thank you! (Still paying off Christmas, no $$ for replacement or even repairman and my hands are cracking from trying to keep up washing in the sink!)

Most likely the pressure switch(water level switch) not closing properly. There are two sets of contacts in the pressure switch. One set closes to energize the water valve. When the water level is high enough the contacts open and the other set closes to energize the motor. There are three wires going to the pressure switch. One wire is for the water, one is for the motor and the third is a common wire which is the power feed to the other two wires.

If you cannot get the machine to run by setting the timer to other cycles it is definitely the pressure switch.

It could be the pump is blocked. There is usually a small rubber catch-pot attached in-line to the pump via a jubilee clip, this happens regularly to me although on a different model. Have a bowl to hand as water goes everywhere if you are not ready for it. Simply unscrew the jubilee clip, remove the rubber catch-pot and check for coins etc inside. Once any foreign objects are removed, replace the rubber catch-pot and tighten the clip. Hope this helps. :)

Before you get too carried away, check the lid switch. Also the pin on the lid that activates it.

Completely stopped, means NO ELECTRIC TO IT. Go and check your circuit breaker in main box. Reset if tripped.
