At an NHL game in a good hockey town like Detroit, it shouldnt matter where you sit in the building, even if its the nosebleeds. In all the arenas i've been to the teams benches are on the same side, so really you are behind both teams benches. The only preferences I ever hear about is what end you sit in, some people prefer the middle but quite a few prefer at the end where the home team attacks twice (teams switch sides every period). Where you have tickets may be better for you, so your boyfriend can point out players sitting on the bench to you. And if you take your boyfriend to a hockey game on Valentines day and he complains about the seats then I'd be pretty pissed off. Have a great time!

I think these seats will be great. You can listen to the other home town fans jeering and razzing the other players. Sometimes the things that are said in the stands are just as entertaining as the game. My wife rarely ever goes to a game with me. If she surprised me with hockey tickets I would be ecstatic.
I think being 18 rows up is very good and being at center ice you will have an excellent view of the entire ice. Have fun.

I say don't worry about it. Most people just want to be lower level on the sides, not the ends . I'd rather be behind the Home bench I guess, but really that's never been an issue for me or any of my friends. If he's a hockey fan you'll still be the best girlfriend ever.

Good tickets. You will be close to the ice, but not to close. The game will look a lot faster as you get closer to the ice. For some fans the game seems very slow and boring when sitting in the upper deck. You should be able to see most if the ice surface. So have a beer and heckle the opposing team.

My husband is originally from Michigan. I used to work for the owner of the LA Kings (a long time ago). I think your boyfriend should be thrilled. Don't worry about it.

Take some Hershey's kisses with you in your purse, and at the game you can say "I hope my kisses will make up for the fact we're not on the Red Wings' side".

Anyway, it should be GREAT!

I really miss going to the games.

First of all, any BF who gets hockey tickets for Valentines is a lucky dog, and he better not forget it. It shows you really want to do something nice for him. I'm sure he'll appreciate it and be very surprised.

Behind the bench is fine. It gives you a chance to harass the other team, among other things. anywhere between the blue lines is very good, because you get a better perspective of the game.

Don't worry. He'll love the tickets (and you, I'm sure).

Personally, if I was your boyfriend, I really wouldn't give a crap if it was behind the visitor's players bench or the nosebleeds. Just the fact that it's behind a team's bench is an added bonus of being at an NHL game. That lucky bastard doesn't deserve you. ;)

They are awesome seats. Enjoy the game. If he complains about these seats go down to the visitors bench and ask for a stick so you can smack him upside the head with it.

i will't inform you all immediately, so digital mail me once you've any questions. you attempt to get the p.c.. contained in the internet of the opposing team. playing wuth a damaged stick is considered a penalty. You play with skates on ice. An icing call is at the same time as aa defencemen shoots the p.c.. down the different communities purple line.
