Because both think they are right. They need to agree to disagree. Take into consideration that all organized religion is male lead. Take the men out and no more fighting.

This is a very complex question with a very long answer. Answer in short: land, religion, and power.

Answer in long: The British promised the land to the Palestians for their support in World War II. They promised to keep out. Then when World War II ended, the world felt bad that they had let Hitler take power, and under his regime 6million people (primarly Jewish men and women) were killed in the Death Camps. In a confence, they decided to give land to the Jews, their homelad, Isreal. The only problem was that the Palestinians still lived there and were also promised the land.

When the Jewish people came over, things started okay. however, in 1958 the JEwish people got power hungry and started taking more land than what was theirs. They started to impose sanctions and buy weapons. They kept the Palestians poor and tried to kick them out.

If you look at modern-day Isreal, there are settlment camps with running water, and green lawns, swimming pools, and air conditioning. There are major roadways connecting settlemetn to settlement. However, if a Palestian wants to travel on that road, it must be cleared of all Isralis. The Palestians were moved to camps and then periodicaly rounded up and killed by top members of the military, now turned political leaders.

Check-points are riduclous, a normal person can't pass through. The actions of some of the Israli leaders, have been horrific. The Palestians cannot get running water, food, or suitable housing. They don't have access to the Dome of the Rock (the 3rd most holy site in Islam) because they aren't allowed into Jersuleam. Isrealis have even mentioned tearing down the Dome of the Rock since it is on the site for the Third and final Jewish Temple. And until recently, the Palestians have done nothing. Only within the past 10 years have things been done, and it has been violence wich has worsened their plight.

When someone tries to intervine, the Isralis pull a guilt card: Look at what you did to us in World War II you must be Anti-Semetic. They play upon the Juedo-Christian background and since 2001, they have been able to play up on the terrorist aspect. They can claim the Palestinians are terrorist because they take violent action (sometime suicide bombers, other times, throwing rocks at the 3rd most powerful army in the world).

Side tanget: Muslim does not equal terrorist. A small sect of of any religious fundemental group can be deemed as a terrorist. I work with several Muslims, and they are some of the best people I know.

Even that Muslims and Arabs accepted the state of Israel ,
Israel don`t want to recognize the right for Palestinian the right that was recognized and voted by the united nations.

You steal my bike and then come and try to negotiate a peaceful settlement to allow you to keep it!

I'm still pissed and you cannot understand why! How's that answer for the middle east conflict?

Because they don't want to "resolve" their conflict. Each wants ultimately to drive the other completely out of the land.

They have been hating and killing each other for many years ,and we keep trying to make them stop. The hate is great and the solution will be hard to get. Let them kill each other and when they are done we might find peace.
