I picked her up on the side of the road, helped her load her bagged belongings in the car. She was trying to get to a town about 3 hours away. She said she'd been sleeping in the woods each night, hadn't had a hot meal in weeks. I had fresh fruit that I'd bought during my lunch hour and some bottled water which I gave to her. Then I drove her the 3 hours she was going, took her to the grocery store to buy a few things she could carry with her, and got her a hotel for the night so she could have a shower, and sleep in a real bed for a change. She cried tears of thankfulness. I wish I could have done more.

so some distance, with in basic terms considered one of my pals helping me, i've got surpassed out 40 seven sandwiches, 6 pairs of variety-new footwear, infinite cigarettes, eighty 4 donuts, seventy seven pairs of socks, 8 pillows, and maximum severely, i've got taken the time to talk to homeless people so as that they experience like valued people. considered one of my sought after thoughts is of chatting with a superb homeless lady for an hour. She advised me somewhat some the main sensible issues i might ever heard. Homeless individuals are nonetheless human! I wish that extra people might teach them kindness.

I was in Cincinatti at the Red's game... once we came out, there were homeless people wondering around. I asked my dad if I could give a dollar to each of them... ended up giving away about $6. It was a while ago.

gave him a sandwhich and offered a good job... he took the sandwhich but threw the job offer back at me and said he wanted money for alcohol.
people: don't give them money! that's the worst thing you can give to a homeless person! they will spend it on drugs on alcohol 98% of the time.

The only thing I've ever done is give them food. If I see one and have time, I'll go through Taco Bell or something and bring it to them. I don't give them money though.

i gave a homeless guy money one time then seen him a couple hours later getting out of a brand new monte carlo.

One time, I noticed that a homeless man's box was getting pretty weathered, so I gave the guy half a roll of duct tape.

I once gave a lady my own coat........I just couldn't walk by and see her sit there shivering......
And I volunteer my time at the soup kitchen during the holiday season....
