I'd kick the crap out of someone

what form is the bullying taking: physical, psychological? if the former, then it's criminal behavior and could deserve police action, in respect of what has already been done. if it appears that it will be ongoing a restraining order might be appropriate? that could be a bit expensive. if the latter, then it's more complex. issues such as: are you being overly sensitive to what you perceive to constitute harrassment, could arise. is the following a possibility: having a frank discussion with the person to "iron things out". or, changing jobs if all else seems futile. i realize this isn't much help. such situations are always exteremely unpleasant. if your both young male types why not do some martial arts type training--krav maga might be a "quick" answer and kick the sh** out of him, but not in the workplace. hardly enlightened, but modestly satisfying. after a while dealing with real pains in the a** gets old. and, you could view it as "tough love". i'm assuming in all this that you've decided that the most obvious approach: speaking with those in charge at work is, for some reason, not an option. best of luck! ;-)

Dont tolerate it. Take it to the highest level, and dont let the company try to brush it under the carpet. This has happened to a friend of mine, he has been working there for 4 years, and now feels he has to leave because the bullying has got worse. It started off with one person, but now 3 are doing it. One a director, and one his manager. The worst thing is my friend is quite handy, and obviously refuses to fight them, but cant get back to them in a professional sense.

Make it very clear in your resignation letter who are the bullies, what and when they have done stuff, who you mentioned it to, etc.

Good Luck ;-)

Ingeniously undermine their authority, credibility, and image through devious underhanded strikes and attacks that they can't even recognize.

In other words, I would make their life hell without them even knowing it. These people can't succeed in the workplace alone. I would merely dismantle their support network one brick at a time.

I would defend myself. I'd either turn the tables on them, or dig up some dirt on them that might be incriminating. I'd make their life a living hell. Or, I might simply beat the crap out of them.

I wouldn't be childish about it and let it continue--I'd tell whomever I needed to to get it to stop. No one should need to work under those conditions. Why should I quit--let the bad-butt get fired.
