Is there a reason gay guys are staring at me?

I am a 20 year old male. I get the occasional look from girls. One of them that I know through my cousin says I am hot even though I don't think that of myself. My biggest question is why are gay guys always staring at me? What the hell!!! Does it mean something? And it's not just some of them, its almost all of them.
