i want my belly button peirced but i dont know if it will hurt or not. Does it? Give me advice to not be so nervous!

I had mine done when i was 17 and it didn't hurt when they pushed the needle through but a few weeks later it got infected. That was worse then the piercing itself. It is not a good place to have some kind of ring cause it snags on pants and pulls and tears on the skin. That's what happened to mine. I had to have mine taken out though after a car accident so they could do x-rays and it closed up before i was conscious again. Now I have a scar about the size of a pencil eraser on the top of my belly button. It is just my personal preference but i wouldn't do it again. I'm sticking to tattoos...

this is probably not the advice you want to hear, but i personally dont like belly button piercings. save yourself some pain and dont do it.

It all depends on how well you handle pain. I had a friend who had low tolerance, therefore it hurt alot. Another friend had a higher tolerance, and said it was a bit sore, but nothing major.

Hiya.. i had mine done years ago when i lived abroad so i can tell you honestly! make sure it's what you want as when you take it out it leaves a little mark like a blackhead... but no, it only hurst for a little while like if you stub your toe on the doorframe, and you're like ******************rds - but then it goes off after a while.. it's like that... don't worry lass! I'm not to sure about the pain. But be careful I've seen and heard about lot getting infected and can look pretty nasty.

If you feel nervous, you might reconsider piercing ... It sure hurts, the tolerance of pain is individual ...

It doesnt hurt, not to me at least
just make sure that you clean it everyday and use bacitracin

my daughter just had hers done and it didnt hurt at the time, but was bit sore later.
