My Australia side for the CWC 2007 would be as follows:
1. Adam Gilchrist
2. Matthew Hayden
3. Ricky Ponting
4. Brad Hodge
5. Andrew Symonds
6. Michael Clarke
7. Michael Hussey
8. Brett Lee
9. Stuart Clark
10. Nathan Bracken/Mitchell Johnson
11. Glenn McGrath

12. Cameron White
13. Dan Cullen
14. Shane Watson
15. Adam Voges

I feel Cameron White has to be replaced by Andrew Symonds. White's legspin is not coming off at the moment, and Symonds' batting (and bowling) form is excellent. Mitchell Johnson has shown he is capable of producing great spells, but has not proved himself as an overs - bowler, whereas Nathan Bracken can keep the run rate down all day.

Finally, my team beats yours because you spell Stuart Clark without an e, Matty Hayden with a y not an i, and Mitchell Johnson with two l's at the end, not one!
:-)

I totally agree wid u that Aussies r no doubt the favourites. i have a perfect 15 for their WC squad.
Gilchrist
Hayden
Ponting
Hussey
Hodge
Katich
Symonds
Lee
Clarke
Johnson
Mcgrath

Nathan Bracken
Ben Hilfenhaus
Brad Hogg
Shane Watson

Michael Clark has no place in the team and also there should be no Cameron White. they both r the weak links in this team. Australia will do good without them. Hilfenhaus, Bracken and Johnson will have a real fight for the place in the final 11. Katich should come back for the worldcup....i just hope that they bring him back.

It's not that difficult to pick an Aussie side of 15 players is it mate?

The players have been on the telly for the last 3 months!

Your team selection seems to be okey except may be with one or 2 changes.

While Australia are hot favourites to win the world cup, since cricket is a game of uncertainties their win cannot be taken for granted as teams such as South Africa, Sri Lanka, India, New Zeland, West Indies and Pakistan are capable of causing upsets.
