I have been pondering this for sometime. ok I think that they should change the nba assist rule to where if you pass it to someone and the person that recieved the pass shot but doesnt make the shot and gets fouled the person that passed it to them should still get credit for the assist even though the guy missed the shot. You are still setting up your teamate for possible points.

NO, that missed shot will not be counted as a "field goal" because they DIDN'T make it-fouled or not. So, IF they make the free throw then this counts towards the players FT attempts...not as a Field Goal attempt or made shot....Big Stern would never go for this.

same here its stupid for him to give the ball and not get any credit for his work!!!
