Size and shape are important. Men should have nice big strong hands with long fingers. Not gnarly brutish hands, but big capable-looking hands. Ever see pictures of Jimi Hendryx? That man had beautiful hands! I can't stand men with teeny little wormy limp dead-fish hands. And what's up with men who shake hands like a girl? I hate that!

I cannot see why. I have had a giant-sized dentist with the touch of an artiste. Even for one to be a musician, the size of fingers might make some difference but these are only minor challenges to be dealt with if one is dedicated.
In a fight, a well placed small hand can do even more damage than a ham-sized fist. What counts is the person who owns the hand! A hand that can give a healing gentle touch is not dependent upon size, just the love and skill behind it.
When I was a professional Masseuse, I sometimes wished for larger hands when my clients included athletes but I learned well to use my elbows instead. I got by.
It is not the size of the hand, it is what it is skilled to do. And yes, ladies, you can read ANYTHING into that you wish.
Personally, I prefer a slow hand to a fast hand. Size does not matter when technique level is high. HMMMM?

Yes if you want to play QB, your hands must be big enough to hold a footbal in one hand with your hand upside down and shake it and have it not fall out. In the NFl those balls are pretty damn big, thus even some well known QB's have fumble problems.

Need big hands to play piano. Rachmaninoff could reach an octave plus 6!! I can only reach an octave plus two, which is pretty big, but not Rachmaninoff.
