I have a d-link router thats 4 port..and i just want to connect another router from that router. the router i want to setup is the same router (d-link). its wired, not wireless. does anyone know how?

If you are simply using the other router as a hub ( to get more ethernet ports ), then you don't have to do any configuration at all, simply plug the cat 5 cables into them, make sure you have an uplink cable from the original router to the secondary router.

This uplink cable is sometimes known as a crossover cable. It has to be plugged into one of the 4 ports on the hub portion, NOT the one into which the modem goes.

The other ports can be used as usual.

plug your wired router into one of the ports on the wireless router. in order to have computers coming off of the wired router, you will need to put the cd in and install it as if the wireless doesn't exist. that should work!
