I am trying to get pregnant and am using a basal thermometer to track my temps. Can someone please explain when on the curve is the best time to have sex to conceive?

You should have sex as much as possible before your temp goes up. If you start checking your cervical mucus (look for the days it looks and feels like eggwhites) and your cervical position (look for it being high enough that it is hard to reach and soft like your lips) that is the day you should have sex and continue to do so till your temp goes up. When your temp rises it means you have already ovulated.

Your temps should be low before you ovulate, and should rise up the day after you ovulate and stay there for a while. Once you see the temperature rise, it's too late to conceive. The 4 or 5 days before the temperature rise is when you are most fertile.

You might also want to buy an ovulation predictor kit. That will tell you the day before you ovulate, so you still have time to get pregnant.

I charted for 16 months, they usually ask u to track 2 cycles b4 ttc so they can tell u an average when to have sex.
