i am nine weeks pregnant and have a really bad headache and i just need to know is it ok for me to take parcetamol (i dont think i spelt that right but you know what i mean)

Ok. To set the record straight both my doctor and my friend who is a midwife said it is FINE to take paracetamol during pregnancy. Look up any medical book and this will also confirm that it is ok. I'm pregnant and I take paracetamol. Just don't take anymore than the recommended :)

Yes it is safe but you can only take paracetamol nothing else i am afraid, and if you can try and go without it then that would be really good, try other things like going to lie down in a quite dark room room, or go and take a warm bath.

People are saying different things to you on here. If you live int he UK you can ring NHS Direct on 08454647 they will let you know what you can take and what you cant. Rather be safe than sorry.

Paracetamol is fine, but if your head ache persists then go to your doctor. They are always prepared to see pregnant women even over the smallest of things.

yes you can i am 8 weeks pregnant and have been getting alot of headaches my GP Say's i am fine with paracetamol

paracetamol is safe i took it when i was pregnant its the only 1 docs recommend but if in doubt consult ur doc its safe for the baby i do know that

paracetamol is safe during pregnancy, taken in moderation, headaches were part of my early pregnancies, they eased off after 3 mths

the safest thing my Dr. told me to take for headaches was regular strength Tylenol

Call your doctor. It is probably not safe. Tylenol and sudafed were the only things my doc let me take.

You need to ask your doctor.. But probably not. You can't take most medications when you are pregnant.
