My husband is verbally abusive. CONSTANTLY. I am currently seeking a divorce. I put up with it for 5 years and i am emotionally drained from it. The sooner you get out the better!

I guess it is acceptable if it is in your nature to automatically react with hurtful words, but it doesn't aid to a better future. Most people rehash the past when fighting and these things will add fuel to the fire.
My husband and I never result in name calling when we are fighting, we have no desire to hurt eachother, when we fight it is really about us wanting to be heard by the other.

I believe their can be name calling as long as both parties are OK with it.. me & my husband call each other names but we are careful not to insult the other!! It is completely wrong to call someone names when it makes them feel bad or if it degrades them in any way, shape or form!! if this happens to you talk to your husband and let him know it hurts you... put a stop to it because it is wrong!!

I get called names but I am also guilty of doing the same. I must say I rarely do, but I do. No, I do not think it is ok in any way shape or form.

no name calling wounds the one being called the names, hurts their self worth. sometimes it is the beginning of the end in a marriage, because u just never feel the same about someone once they call u names, and mean it. you no longer feel loved or desired anymore.

My ex and I used to say those things jokingly. Was just the nature of our relationship. Almost more like friends or brother/sister. I think if your truly in love though you shouldn't. i call my bf "goofy" or "silly". But nothing negative or anything. It's all meant as good

Yes I have put up with it and its not acceptable. It makes you cold towards the person. I don't do it because I know how bad it hurts.

When I was married my ex called me a bad name once. I threatened to rip his mouth right off of his face. After that, he never ever called me another bad name again.

Of course not! Why would we call each other names and how could that possibly be considered acceptable?

Welcome to E-arth. The "Marrieds" are a diverse group of beings, that include name callers, lawyers, parents, cancer survivors, bad cooks, committed lovers, cheaters, red heads, fat people, tall skinny couples, criers, comedians, etc.. You will have to extend your stay on our planet to get accurate test findings.
P.S. I am bewildered by your crop circles. How did you do that?
