Never. Our current president thinks he can circumvent the laws passed by Congress by using "signing statements" that say he'll not veto the law--he'll just ignore it.

Only when we as voters fail to take action as allowed by the Constitution. If politicians are out of line it is our duty/ right to vote them out of office. If you are referring to Bush well he was elected to a second term by the people. When the voters vote as if it is a popularity contest rather than a life and death matter it gives the politicians the freedom to take ours. It saddens me to see all the BS from people (on all sides of politics) who just listen to others remarks and do not check out the stories to see if they are valid. People spew hate and lies in order to hurt the opposing party and then believe those lies without ever verifying the truth. We still have the power but if we fail to use it we are stuck with what we get.

The President isn't more important than the people. That doesn't mean that he needs base every decision on each and every poll that comes out. We elect a President for a specified term and he's accountable for his decisions each election.

I would like to think it NEVER happened. As for Dictator Dumbya, one would hope to eventually prove that his importance is a delusion of his own mind, as is SO much of his thought in general.

Excellent question. I think it was around the time of Reagan. He really did a lot of great things, helping reenergize the country after the disappointments of the JFK assassination and Vietnam and Watergate, but because he was so charismatic, President-worship may have gone a bit too far.

When people stopped believing in the Constitution and Bill of Rights and let a demon puppet of the New World Order declare that he's above the law. And that we should strike first onto opposing countries before the "terrorists" get us.

Never. The President is the figurehead of our country. He is the duly elected leader of our federal government. He is never more important but deserves the respect of his citizens for as long as he is in office. If you don't like the current President find someone to beat him in a general election, but until you do you have a duty to support your country and in turn the chosen leaders of your country.

When JFK was glamorized by the television industry.

BTW: did you know that a Kennedy was Lincoln's secretary and a Lincoln was Kennedy's secretary? And did you know that a week before Lincoln was shot he was in Monroe, Maryland...and a week before Kennedy he was in Marilyn Monr......never mind.
