My suggestion for beginning scrapbookers is to find a class somewhere!!!! Check your local scrapbook stores even big chain stores like Michaels and Hobbly Lobby for a beginners class. Or you can look up a number of different scrapbooking consultants in your area willing to teach you. Some reputable direct sales businesses are I Remember When, Creative Memories, Top Line Creations, and Memory Works. Classes are great because you have someone to direct you step by step and answer your questions as you go. Once you get started there are a number of websites that can keep you going. Two Peas in a Bucket, and Creating Keepsakes are just two of my favorites, these both have ideas and forums. Hope this helps!

Start by organizing your photo's. If you do not have the proper photo boxes, use an old shoebox. Be sure to label.
You will need to have a good amount of space to work with. Pick a space that you can leave your unfinished project and resume another day (extra room etc).
Once you begin it is so much fun. You'll have fun looking thru old photo's and finding the perfect accents to highlight the moment.
Get ideas from scrapbooking websites, magazines, books. Just be sure to use acid free papers that will not damage your photo's. HAVE FUN!

Hi, well one way to start is to join some on-line groups, search through Yahoo Groups and you should find one that will suit you and your location. Also, do some searches for scrapbooking shops online and they usually have information on how to get started etc and ideas for layouts.

I started with my Childhood memories.. like old photos... i started mine with photos with descriptions underneath them.
You could always try starting there.
Or if you have a ticket from a place where you have been you could always stick that in...
