Protons are equal to the atomic number.
Electrons are equal to protons in a neutral atom.
Neutrons=Take the atomic mass and subtract the atomic number.

in a neutral atom (as found in the periodic table) proton and electrons are the same as the atomic number. Neutrons are found by taking the difference of the atomic mass and the atomic number (atomic mass- atomic #).
